The Friends Annual Meeting is Monday, December 10, 7:00-8:30 p.m. at Fredericksburg Branch.

Friends of the Central Rappahannock Regional Library

Fall has always been my favorite season and fall at the library is especially dear to me. I get a little nostalgic this time of year, remembering the fun programs and events I was part of as a youth services librarian. A glance at the @ Your Library magazine reassures me that if I get nostalgic for a scary story or a costume parade, I can find one happening at CRRL!

Hopefully, many of you were able to attend the Uniquely Fredericksburg Art Show reception on October 5. If not, I do hope you have had a chance to visit the show at the Fredericksburg Branch. There are over 70 pieces of art depicting the city and its people and the art is simply amazing. And while you are there, give yourself a pat on the back, because your membership dues and proceeds from book sales help make this event a success. The exhibit continues until November 30.

I have been busy this fall visiting the book sales and lobby bookshops at different branches. It is great to see so many volunteers helping out with the sales and it is also wonderful to see so many happy book sale customers.

Thank you again for all you do! I look forward to seeing you in December at our annual meeting.

Candace, Friends of the Library President
