Happy Spring everyone! I am looking forward to seeing you at the sale this week. This is our first BIG sale of 2024. We have had some awesome recent donations that you will not want to miss. You don't need the luck of the leprechaun to bag some bargains; you just need a great library book sale!

Debra Freeman is a food writer who focuses on African American culinary history. Debra will talk about the Virginia origins of three well-known foods: mac & cheese, BBQ, and fried chicken.

Your Donations Doubled, for Free!

There are still a few weeks left in the Topside Cares fundraising campaign. Topside Federal Credit Union is matching all donations made to the Friends through the end of March, up to a maximum of $2,500. That means the Friends could potentially raise $5,000 to support library programs, such as Music on the Steps, Library Speakers Consortium Author Talks, the Claudia Emerson Teen Poetry Contest, and the Johnny P. Johnson Teen Art Show (visit the show at Fredericksburg Branch through April 27!)

Donated computer CPUs will be on sale. These computer CPUs don't come with monitors, keyboards, mice, or any operating system or software. They're great for makers, hobbyists, tinkerers, or spare parts. At only $10 or $20 each, they're going to go fast!
 

We're also offering donated furniture; prices vary and will be clearly marked. Purchased furniture must be picked up no later than Wednesday, March 20.
